It is EXTREMELY important to READ the DOs & DON'Ts!
|

AVOID DISTRACTIONS! Find a location that will help you be
productive. If possible, choose a spot that is quiet and free from
loud noises.
BE PROFESSIONAL! Clean up what is visible behind you to
ensure that it is not distracting or inappropriate. Be sure your
attire is school-appropriate!
BE YOUR BEST SELF! Treat others with respect, be kind, be
aware of the tone, and always use appropriate language. Since
it is difficult to read body language online, what you say and how
you say it matters even more.
BE PREPARED! Make sure your device is charged, or plugged in,
so that your computer does not power off during a video
conference session.
LOG IN EARLY! To avoid possible technology issues, please log
in to your session 3-5 minutes early.
KEEP YOUR MICROPHONE MUTED! When you have a
question/comment for the teacher, raise your hand visibly, and
wait to be called on by the teacher. Quesions/Comments can be
typed directly to the teacher in the Chat box; not to others!
KEEP YOUR MICROPHONE ON. While the teacher is
speaking, or a student the teacher has called on, you must
remember to MUTE yourself! Otherwise, others can hear
everything that's happening around you.
TAKE PICTURES OR SCREENGRABS or SHOTS. Taking
pictures, screengrabs or screen shots of others is
absolutely NOT allowed! This is strictly forbidden! This is
against State Statutes! Any violation hereof will be referred
to administration for swift disciplinary actions.
SEND PRIVATE CHATS TO OTHERS If your teacher allows
you to use the chat feature, messages should be posted
PUBLICLY, or shared directly with your teacher. Private
messaging with classmates is not allowed, and is strictly
forbidden!
INVITE OTHERS. Your siblings, friends, or others NOT
enrolled in the class are NOT ALLOWED to join you in the
video conference session! Remember, this is your school's
virtual class session. (A NON-enrolled student would NOT
be allowed in the physical classroom session either.
Additionally, this would be a violation of the privacy of your
fellow classmates in the virtual classroom environment.
Please keep these points in mind!)

Go to Google Meet and follow instructions for logging in.
